" Who Gained From Arab Upheavals ? "

Dear Readers, World Wide,

Please notice that the question, " Who Gained From Arab Upheavals ? " is written between quotations. That means that the question was not raised by me, but by others. In fact, I have found the question in the " Entry " subdivisions of the " Traffic Sources ", provided by Google, as a statistical feed back, meaning: the number of readers who review what is published in this website, world wide, along the names of the countries they reside in. It is a very helpful service Google provides to persons like myself, who try to enlighten their readers of what they know, free of charge.

According to the statistical feed back provided by Google, the above question was " Entered " three times as "Page Reviews ". Who raised the question and in which country he or she or they lived in, did not really matter. What is most important is the validity of the question being raised. It is certainly valid and hence deserves an answer, or at least a response of some kind. The following is my response to the above question:

The person or persons who have raised the above question has/have expected me to say that the main gainer of the Arab upheavals has been Israel ,so far. His or/her or their expectation is a correct one, but with the following qualifications:

* Yes, Israel is the main gainer of the current Arab Awakening, due to the usual entropic chaos and confusion that take place immediately after the ruling dictators, against whom the revolutions were started, in the first place, had fallen. The recorded history of all human revolutions, such as the French Revolution of France, the Communist Revolution of Russia and the Islamic Revolution of Iran, attest to the fact that the initiators and facilitators of these revolutions were their first victims.

* Such facts about all human revolutions, as outlined in the foregoing, tell me one thing for certain: Israel's gain is only temporary and the Israeli gain will not last forever. I repeat that  it is only temporary gain.

* Currently, The Arab Awakening is like a chain chemical reaction. Therefore, it is unstoppable until it completes its natural cycles. After that completion, watch out who is going to be the biggest loser of them all. The temporary main gainer now will end-up the biggest loser of them all. The history of the Arabs attests to that: the Arabs have always and always defeated their conquerors and kicked them out of their cherished homeland. No one needs to take my words here. All one has to do is just take his or her or their time and read the history of the Arabs and reach their own conclusion.

* Finally, I must say that as long as Israel continues stealing Palestinian lands, demolishing Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and in occupied East Jerusalem, in order to build housing projects for housing Jews only, and it continues brutalizing the Palestinians and violating their basic human rights, as it besieged Gaza, Israel is in effect planting the seeds of its own destruction from within. The proof is what has happened in the country called South Africa in which the White Europeans once ruled it, to finally be defeated and Nelson Mandela released from his 26 years of imprisonment and became the first black native President of South Africa. The temporary success story of White Rule of South Africa was greater than the current gain of Israel from the Arab upheavals;  and yet it finally collapsed under its own weights of discrimination and racism under which black South African natives had suffered greatly for many decades. Similarly, the Arab Awakening will eventually be, at the end, a big helping hand to the brutalized Palestinians. Just give the Awakening enough time to complete its natural development which may take years, if not decades, like all other human revolutions, as recorded in history.  No miracles can be expected from revolutions-only bloodshed. So will be the case for the Arab upheavals, or rather Arab Awakening.

Sincerely,
Sodium.

Some Thoughts On The Question: " In What Year Did Muhammad Return To Mecca ? "

By Sodium

In the last essay, there was the following question:

" In what year did Muhammad return to Mecca? "

The answer that has been given is: some sources state that he returned in 629 AD but other sources had stated that he had returned in 632 AD. The writer of the essay then had refrained from taking side and let it go, at that.

However, the writer of this essay had done lately more researches, in order to provide the interested readers with a definite and concrete answers. Unfortunately, the several sources he had reviewed had failed to provide him with the definite and concrete answer he was looking for. Therefore, he was compelled to analyze and assess the logic in the information he had reviewed lately. Hence, the following personal thoughts have hit his mind:

Since some of the sources he had reviewed lately stated that "The Farewell Pilgrimage " Muhammad made to Mecca was in 632 AD, that might suggest that he should have made earlier journeys from Medina to Mecca. In other words, it is important to keep in mind that this suggestion is fundamentally based on the the two extremely important words,"Farewell Pilgrimage". Since the year 632 AD was the "Farewell Pilgrimage", meaning the " LAST JOURNEY" he made to Mecca before his death, it simply meant that he made earlier journeys to Mecca. Therefore, the year 632 AD could not be the very first year he returned to Mecca, since he and his followers migrated to Medina. The first time he returned to Mecca was that year when he "TRIUMPHANTLY RETURNED" and the Meccans, who wanted to kill hime and slaughter his followers, in time passed, had finally surrendered in peace. Based on this analysis, the following personal thoughts have been reached:

Since the "The Farewell Pilgrimage' was done in 632 AD, it was then plausable to think that the year 629 AD was, most likely, the year The Prophet Muhammad "TRIUMPHANTLY RETURNED" to Mecca, since he and his followers escaped from Mecca to save their lives from the atrocities of the Paganic Meccans, especially from the powerful clan of Quraysh, Muhammad's own clan.

Please remember that the above foregoing is only personal thoughts, or rather a personal " Ijtihad ". In other words,it could, such a logical deduction, be totally correct " Ijtihad " and, of course, it could be completely wrong one. However, the writer of this essay had felt that he should share such thoughts with the interested readers. It may help.

" In What Year Did Muhammad Return To Mecca? "

By Sodium

Please notice that the above title, " In What Year Did Muhammad Return To Mecca? ", has been deliberately put between quotations to convey to the readers that it is not my own question, but a question that was raised by somebody else. Who has raised it?, I have no idea. It has attracted my attention as I reviewed the readership entries of the section provided by Google, under the label, " Traffic Sources " which is really a very helpful tool to provide persons like myself, with an idea as to what essays were of interest to readers of this website. Therefore, whoever raised the above question, he or she was, most likely, trying to address the question to me but, somehow, could not reach me. As a result, I have felt that it is incumbent upon me to extend a helping hand to that reader, whoever he or she might have been:

I will answer the above question as part of a series of questions that are also of great deal of interest to all adherents to Islam. Such questions and their answers can be summed up as follows:

Question: In what year The Prophet Muhammad was born ?
Answer: He was born in 570 AD.

Question: In what year The Prophet Muhammad was visited by Angel Gabriel and received the revelation from God ?
Answer: He was visited by Angel Gabriel and received the revelation from God in 610 AD. He was 40 year old.

Question: In what year The Prophet Muhammad migrated from the city of Mecca to the City of Yathrib,(Medina now) ?
Answer: He migrated from Mecca to Medina in 622 AD.

QUESTION: " IN WHAT YEAR DID MUHAMMAD RETURN TO MECCA ? " THIS IS THE QUESTION RAISED BY THE READER WHOM I HAVE NO IDEA WHO HE OR SHE WAS.
ANSWER: SOME HISTORICAL RECORDS SAY THAT HE RETURNED TO MECCA IN 632 AD, WHILE OTHER RECORDS SAY THAT HE RETURNED TO MECCA IN 629 AD. WHICH ONE IS MORE ACCURATE, I PERSONALLY REFRAIN FROM AGREEING WITH EITHER RECORDS,  BECAUSE I REALLY DO NOT KNOW. THE POINT TO REMEMBER IS THIS: AFTER HIS LAST FAREWELL PILGRIMAGE TO MECCA, HE RETURNED TO MEDINA AND BECAME VERY ILL AND DIED SHORTLY IN MEDINA. HE WAS BURIED IN MEDINA. THE VISIT TO HIS GRAVE IN MEDINA HAS BECOME A TRADITION BY PILGRIMS SINCE HIS DEATH.

Question: How old was the Prophet Muhammad when he died ?
Answer: All records I have reviewed, so far, say that he was 63 year old when he died.

END.
